Medical Cards

Post  Admin on Tue Sep 10, 2013 1:17 am

After last weekend's tragic events up in Dubai, we were served another reminder of the dangers of cycling in the UAE this evening when one of our regular riders went into the back of a car when it braked suddenly (for no reason).  Thankfully, he is OK, but he did get injured.
Unfortunately, he didn't have his medical/insurance card with him and therefore treatment, when he was eventually taken to hospital, was refused initially.  Things were sorted out in the end and he received treatment for a laceration.  However, this could have turned out a lot worse.
PLEASE CARRY YOUR MEDICAL/INSURANCE CARD WITH YOU WHENEVER YOU ARE OUT ON YOUR BIKE.
